\n\n\t\t\t衛武營國家藝術文化中心將邀請一群無畏、充滿好奇心的藝術家們,將他們非凡的才華及創造力帶給觀眾。今年將有多位卓越的表演者共襄盛舉,包括小提琴家魏靖儀、鋼琴家金善昱及傅美兒、大提琴家馮勇智(2019柴科夫斯基國際音樂大賽首獎得主)、女高音黃秀美、打擊樂家瑪麗安娜.貝德納絲卡、薩克斯風演奏家陳力鋒。指揮家則包含簡文彬、羅菲、尹漢潔(最新卡拉揚青年指揮家獎得主)、瓦拉德等,帶領國立臺灣交響樂團、高雄市交響樂團、統營國際音樂節室內樂團、衛武營當代樂團,為觀眾帶來精彩的演出。
\n\n\t\t\t我們希冀透過創新和充滿想像力的節目與觀眾溝通,藉由這些多彩主題音樂會中,不拘一格且饒富變化的曲目,展現音樂如何與人們的思緒產生即刻的共鳴。此次的音樂會包含《當代音樂萬花筒:音樂玩具》、《歌詠音畫》、《當代音樂萬花筒:街頭劇場之情景》、《幻想說鼓》⋯⋯等。除了經典巨作如白遼士的《幻想交響曲》、貝多芬第五號鋼琴協奏曲及華格納作品,我們還將演出許多知名作曲家如楊納傑克及雷史畢基的「遺珠」作品,與來自世界各地、五彩繽紛的嶄新現代作品相輝映。

開幕音樂會《幻想說鼓》

2024衛武營國際音樂節開幕音樂會將由法國指揮大師羅菲指揮國立臺灣交響樂團,臺灣首演匈牙利作曲巨擘于特福許2012年創作《說鼓》,這一首喚醒人類節奏靈魂的作品,將聽到波蘭新生代音樂家貝德納絲卡擔任「說鼓人」,運用豐富的打擊樂對比,例如石頭敲擊與管鐘對話,融合說唱藝術,與樂團共同交織出節奏與聲響的聽覺盛宴。

統營國際音樂節室內樂團《歌詠音畫》

凝聚韓國首座音樂創意城市之力,青年指揮家尹漢潔(Hankyeol Yoon)將帶領統營國際音樂節室內樂團,搭配女高音黄秀美(Sumi Hwang),即將首度登臺展現聲樂風華,演出古今融合的精彩創作。演出內容包含三首知名歌劇詠嘆調、德語藝術歌曲《詩人之戀》、標題音樂《波堤切利三聯畫》臺灣首演,和屬於絕對音樂的室內交響曲,浪漫主題貫穿跨越一世紀的選曲,大大展現韓國音樂家們演繹愛與渴望的卓越才華。

瑪麗安娜.貝德納絲卡打擊獨奏會《鼓動》

2019年日內瓦音樂大賽擊樂得主,同年亦獲頒瑞士信貸青年藝術家大獎,來自波蘭的貝德納絲卡(Marianna BEDNARSKA)近年以出眾的音樂表現和洗鍊技巧,成為歐陸最受矚目的新星之一。她的演奏曾被《琉森報》(Luzerner Zeitung)評為能「啟發聽眾」,《紐約時報》更以「耀眼的錄音」來形容她灌錄的丹麥作曲家柯佩爾(A. Koppel)四首木琴協奏曲專輯。

這一場充滿能量,火花四射的雙琴交鋒,將由利茲國際鋼琴大賽得主-韓國鋼琴家金善昱,和榮獲伊莉莎白皇后國際大賽桂冠小提琴家魏靖儀連袂登場。兩位重要新生代演奏家將以完美默契及深厚技巧,為觀眾帶來橫跨近二世紀,震懾人心的小提琴與鋼琴合奏曲目。

The 2024 Weiwuying International Music Festival, with Asia's forefront female composer Unsuk CHIN as artistic director, will bring together top musicians and ensembles from all over the world for seven ticketed programs and two free events that blend the innovative and the classic, blurring the lines between music genres as you enjoy the energy of music! The festival is a celebration of music put on by Weiwuying every April. Having evolved out of the Weiwuying Contemporary Music Platform and after years of refinement and growth, it is full of a variety of music and also has film screenings and forums, providing a cornucopia of delight for lovers of both classical and contemporary music. By conversing with audiences through highly innovative and imaginative programs and differently themed concerts with eclectic arrays of songs, the festival presents how music resonates instantly with the way people think. Opera excerpts, art songs, program music, and absolute music are four distinct genres that, in essence, do not intersect. When curating a concert repertoire, one can opt to emphasize a single genre or incorporate a combination of two. While it's fairly common for a repertoire to encompass three of these categories, including all four genres is a rarity. Ensemble TIMF Music of Love and Longing showcases a remarkable blend of these four music categories: SCHREKER Chamber Symphony is absolute music, The Poet's Love is a German art song, Trittico Botticelliano is program music, and the three opera arias originate from two Italian operas and one French opera.

策展人介紹
\n\n身兼作曲家與音樂策展人的陳銀淑生於1961年的韓國首爾,並自1985年起旅居德國。她曾獲頒許多古典音樂獎項,包含森寧音樂獎、荀貝格獎,以及格文美爾作曲獎。她的作品深受許多國際級指揮大師的喜愛,包括拉圖、吉伯特、杜達美、長野健等知名指揮都曾指揮其作。全球知名樂團如柏林愛樂、紐約愛樂、芝加哥交響樂團等,都曾邀請陳銀淑譜寫曲目並為其演奏。同時,她也是瑞士琉森音樂節、北德廣播易北愛樂樂團、BBC 交響樂團所舉辦之沉浸式音樂節的駐團作曲家。
\n2007年,陳銀淑的首部歌劇作品《愛麗絲夢遊仙境》在德國巴伐利亞國立歌劇院舉行全球首演,由此揭開了慕尼黑歌劇節序幕。陳銀淑長期以音樂策展人的身分活躍於樂壇;2006年至2017年間,她擔任首爾愛樂現代音樂節「新藝術」的藝術總監。自2022年起,陳銀淑獲邀擔任南韓統營國際音樂節的藝術總監,也預計在2023年,出任洛杉磯愛樂樂團首爾音樂節總監一職。

\nIn our second edition of the Weiwuying International Music Festival, we want to present you with a treasure trove of great classical music.
\nAmong our soloists: the extraordinary soprano Julia LEZHNEVA, Francesco PIEMONTESI, one of the most sought-after pianists of his generation, the brilliant violinist William WEI, the innovative clarinetist Magnus HOLMANDER, the dazzling flute virtuoso Yubeen KIM, who won the 2022 ARD Music Competition, and the soprano Nika GORIČ, a master of myriad musical styles. The opening concert features the eminent American conductor David ROBERTSON with the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra; the closing concert will be performed by Maestro CHIEN Wen-pin and the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra.
\nAlongside masterpieces from MOZART to MAHLER and beyond, the festival presents the first Taiwanese showcase of the music of one of the most successful composers of our time, Anders HILLBORG from Sweden. We further stay at the pulse of the time with a cutting-edge live multimedia production: "The Tristan Effect" part of Chicago Symphony's innovative Beyond the Score® format, focusing on Richard WAGNER's masterpiece, Tristan und Isolde. A bonus: three futuristic animation movies by the French filmmaker Philippe GRAMMATICOPOULOS that are extraordinary for many reasons, including their soundtrack.

Curator
\n\nComposer and curator Unsuk CHIN was born in 1961 in Seoul, and she has lived in Germany since 1985. CHIN's career has been celebrated with a series of classical music awards such as the Leonie Sonning Prize, the Sibelius Prize and the Grawemeyer Award. Her music has attracted the attention of international conductors such as Simon RATTLE, Alan GILBERT, Gustavo DUDAME, Kent NAGANO, and others. Regularly commissioned by leading performing organizations worldwide, CHIN's music has been performed by orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw, among others. She has been Composer-in-Residence of the Lucerne Festival, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the BBC's Total Immersion Festival, and many more.
\nIn 2007, CHIN's first opera Alice in Wonderland received its world premiere at the Bavarian State Opera, opening the Munich Opera Festival. CHIN has also been active as a concert curator. She was Artistic Director of the Seoul Philharmonic's Ars Nova series from 2006 to 2017, of the London-based Philharmonia Orchestra's Music of Today series from 2011 to 2020, from 2022 onwards as Artistic Director of the International Tongyeong Music Festival, and in 2023 as Director of the Seoul Festival of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

\n\n我非常榮幸能擔任衛武營國際音樂節的藝術總監。
\n\n臺灣朝氣蓬勃的音樂生態及致力投入的精神受到國際景仰,而其中,衛武營國家藝術文化中心這座建築不僅美麗且擁有極佳的音響效果,是臺灣的一枚瑰寶。
\n\n衛武營國際音樂節是一個發現與創新的嶄新平台。
\n\n2022 年的首屆音樂節,將獻上來自不同時代、不同文化的音樂,除了有國際及臺灣的首演作品,更將音樂史上重要的巨作以非比尋常的脈絡及展演方式呈現。
\n\n我們試著讓當代最前線的東西方音樂與古典音樂展開對話,體驗迥然不同的視聽饗宴;我們將海頓與盧托斯瓦夫斯基作對比,讓小提琴家魏靖儀演奏魏本及布拉姆斯,使臺灣作曲家林佳瑩與史特拉汶斯基產生交流,我們更找尋著跨文化的連結,推出創新的多媒體音樂會「Beyond the Score®」,演奏受眾人喜愛的經典作品《展覽會之畫》。
\n\n另外,臺灣鋼琴家王佩瑤所策展的《浮光流影》,靈感源自作家吳明益的暢銷小說《單車失竊記》。波蘭導演聶辛斯基 (Zbig RYBCZYŃSKI)在實驗電影《管絃樂團》中,以他獨特的超現實方式向我們展示了與交響樂團有關的有趣聯想。
\n\n這次我們也特別聚焦來自奧地利的作曲家伯恩・理查・多伊奇 (Bernd Richard DEUTSCH) ,與萊比錫布商大廈管絃樂團共同委託這位當今最才華出眾的年輕作曲家,創作充滿異國情調的薩克斯風四重奏和交響樂團的作品。 另外我們也委託兩位新世代的傑出作曲家:臺灣的林佳瑩和巴西的保羅・布里托(Paulo BRITO),為本此音樂節創作精彩的作品。
\n\n此次音樂盛會上,非常開心能邀請許多樂團來共襄盛舉:米特薩克斯風重奏團、國家交響樂團,及高雄市交響樂團,更能看到簡文彬、廖國敏和楊智欽的精彩指揮。除此之外,新成立的衛武營當代樂團將由楊書涵指揮,匯集並演出來自臺灣及世界各地的新作品。

2022衛武營國際音樂節藝術總監陳銀淑

\n\n身兼作曲家與音樂策展人的陳銀淑生於1961年的韓國首爾,並自1985年起旅居德國。其職業生涯中曾獲頒許多古典音樂獎項,她的音樂也吸引了許多國際級指揮大師的矚目。陳銀淑更經常受邀為許多全球知名樂團譜寫演奏曲目,曾演出其作品的樂團有柏林愛樂樂團、紐約愛樂樂團、芝加哥交響樂團以及東京交響樂團等等,並在眾多音樂節和樂團擔任駐節/團作曲家,如瑞士琉森音樂節、巴黎秋季藝術節、北德廣播交響樂團、柏林德意志交響樂團等等。
\n\n2007年,陳銀淑的首部歌劇作品《愛麗絲夢遊仙境》在德國巴伐利亞國立歌劇院舉行全球首演,以此揭開慕尼黑歌劇節序幕。此外,陳銀淑也以音樂策展人的身分活躍於樂壇。於2006年至2017年間在首爾愛樂負責監督現代音樂節「新視界」系列的演出(該音樂節由她本人所創辦);於2011年至2020年間,則在倫敦擔任愛樂管弦樂團「當代音樂」系列音樂會的藝術總監。此外,她也在2021年出任洛杉磯愛樂樂團首爾音樂節總監一職。其作品由英國古典音樂出版商博浩公司獨家代理發行。

\n\nI am honoured to be appointed Artistic Director of the new Weiwuying International Music Festival.
\n\nThe musical life in Taiwan, its spirit andcommitment, is being admired worldwide, and the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) is a real gem with its fantastic acoustics and beautiful architecture.
\n\nThe Weiwuying International Music Festival is a brand-new platform for musical innovation and discoveries.
\nThe first edition of the festival in 2022 presents a wide variety of music from different epochs and cultures, with premieres and Taiwanese first performances contrasting with established masterworks of musical history placed in unusual contexts and new concert formats.
\nBy attempting a dialogue between cutting edge new music from East and West with established classics, we undergo new listening experiences: whether by juxtaposing HAYDN with LUTOSLAWSKI, WEBERN with BRAHMS in a recital with William WEI, LIN Chia-ying with STRAVINSKY, or finding cross-cultural connections in a beloved classic (Pictures from an Exhibition) in the innovative Beyond the Score® multimedia concert production.
\nLuminous shadow, a program curated by pianist WANG Pei-yao was inspired by WU Ming yi's bestselling novel The Stolen Bicycle. The experimental film-maker Zbig RYBCZYŃSKI, in his movie The Orchestra, presents us unusual associations with the symphony orchestra in his uniquely surreal manner.
\nA particular focus is being put on the works of Bernd Richard DEUTSCH from Austria, one of the brightest young composers anywhere: together with the Gewandhaus Orchestra from Leipzig, we have commissioned a new piece for the exotic combination of a saxophone quartet and orchestra. Two other brilliant composers of the young generation have also been commissioned new works: LIN Chia-ying from Taiwan and Paulo BRITO from Brazil.
\nWe are happy to present several ensembles, including the MIT Saxophone Ensemble, the National Symphony Orchestra and the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, with conductors CHIEN Wen-pin, LIO Kuokman and YANG Chih-chin. The newly founded Weiwuying Contemporary Music Ensemble, conducted by YANG Su-han, becomes a
\nplatform of new musical creation with new music from Taiwan and other continents.

Unsuk Chin|Artistic Director of WWY International Music Festival

\n\nComposer and curator Unsuk Chin was born in 1961 in Seoul and she has lived in Germany since 1985. Chin's career has been celebrated with a series of classical music awards. Her music has attracted the attention of international conductors. Regularly commissioned by leading performing organisations around the world, her music has been performed by orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Tokyo Symphony, among others. She has been Composer-in-Residence of the Lucerne Festival, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the BBC's Total Immersion Festival, and many more.
\n\nIn 2007, Chin's first opera Alice in Wonderland received its world premiere at the Bavarian State Opera, opening the Munich Opera Festival. Chin has also been active as a concert curator, overseeing the Ars Nova series at the Seoul Philharmonic from 2006 to 2017 - a series which she founded herself, from 2011 to 2020 as Artistic Director of the Music of Today series of the Philharmonia Orchestra in London and in 2021 as Director of the Seoul Festival of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Her works are published exclusively by Boosey & Hawkes.

開幕音樂會《幻想說鼓》

2024衛武營國際音樂節開幕音樂會將由法國指揮大師羅菲指揮國立臺灣交響樂團,臺灣首演匈牙利作曲巨擘于特福許2012年創作《說鼓》,這一首喚醒人類節奏靈魂的作品,將聽到波蘭新生代音樂家貝德納絲卡擔任「說鼓人」,運用豐富的打擊樂對比,例如石頭敲擊與管鐘對話,融合說唱藝術,與樂團共同交織出節奏與聲響的聽覺盛宴。

統營國際音樂節室內樂團《歌詠音畫》

凝聚韓國首座音樂創意城市之力,青年指揮家尹漢潔(Hankyeol Yoon)將帶領統營國際音樂節室內樂團,搭配女高音黄秀美(Sumi Hwang),即將首度登臺展現聲樂風華,演出古今融合的精彩創作。演出內容包含三首知名歌劇詠嘆調、德語藝術歌曲《詩人之戀》、標題音樂《波堤切利三聯畫》臺灣首演,和屬於絕對音樂的室內交響曲,浪漫主題貫穿跨越一世紀的選曲,大大展現韓國音樂家們演繹愛與渴望的卓越才華。

瑪麗安娜.貝德納絲卡打擊獨奏會《鼓動》

2019年日內瓦音樂大賽擊樂得主,同年亦獲頒瑞士信貸青年藝術家大獎,來自波蘭的貝德納絲卡(Marianna BEDNARSKA)近年以出眾的音樂表現和洗鍊技巧,成為歐陸最受矚目的新星之一。她的演奏曾被《琉森報》(Luzerner Zeitung)評為能「啟發聽眾」,《紐約時報》更以「耀眼的錄音」來形容她灌錄的丹麥作曲家柯佩爾(A. Koppel)四首木琴協奏曲專輯。

2024衛武營國際音樂節閉幕音樂會的曲目將橫跨兩世紀,從貝多芬、華格納的大師巨作,到享譽國際的現代作曲家陳銀淑的作品。陳銀淑的大提琴協奏曲著於2006年,本場將由簡文彬指揮高市交,攜手柴可夫斯基國際音樂大賽首獎得主-美國大提琴家馮勇智,以精湛的技法詮釋這首被《衛報》評選為「二十一世紀最傑出的二十五首作品之一」,探索大提琴與管絃樂團的音響碰撞,從扣人心弦的獨奏,到與樂團萬馬奔騰的壯麗合奏,是現代樂迷不可錯過的巔峰之作。

《樂讀里希特》影片以德國當代重量級藝術家葛哈.里希特(Gerhard RICHTER)的圖像所組成,由作曲家馬庫斯.施密克勒(Marcus SCHMICKLER)與電影導演科琳娜.貝爾茲(Corinna BELZ)共同創作。貝爾茲以里希特於2015年送給她的一張圖畫為中心創作,藉由專門開發的電腦軟體製作成電影。施密克勒則在電影製作的同時創作音樂,並將里希特的分割方法延伸應用到聲音和時間層面。觀眾體驗這些聲音的時候就像在看一幅畫,透過施密克勒的音樂詮釋,我們將聽見里希特圖像中的視覺節奏!

The film Richters Patterns, which consists of significant contemporary German artist Gerhard RICHTER's patterns, was created by composer Marcus SCHMICKLER and film director Corinna BELZ. BELZ used a detail of a photo that RICHTER gave her in 2015 to create a movie that was generated by a computer algorithm programmed for the project. SCHMICKLER wrote the music in parallel with the film's creation, and extended RICHTER's dividing method into the field of sound and time. Listeners experience these sounds as if they are looking at a painting. We will hear the visual rhythm in RICHTER's patterns with SCHMICKLER's interpretation in music!

\n\nComposer|Marcus SCHMICKLER
\n\nMarcus SCHMICKLER (1968- ) is a composer specializing in contemporary and electronic music. He resides in Cologne and in Graz. SCHMICKLER's work deals with the convergence of computer music, ensemble composition, performance, and science. His compositions create unique auditory spaces. Exploring a range of techniques from Shepard tones to ring modulations, SCHMICKLER harnesses their compositional potential, delving into sonic exploration through data sonification and otoacoustic emissions.
\n\nAdditionally, he contributes texts on music theory to various publications, including MusikTexte, and his musical works have been featured in about 50 LPs and CDs. SCHMICKLER has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including the esteemed Rome Prize from the German Academy Villa
\n\nMassimo. He has taught at Bard College, CalArts, Robert Schumann Hochschule. His compositions have been performed by notable ensembles such as Neue Vocalsolisten, Ensemble Musikfabrik, Schlagquartett Köln, Ensemble Recherche, Kölner Kurrende, Staatskapelle Weimar, Ensemble Ruhr,

\n\nCorinna BELZ studied philosophy, history of art and media sciences in Cologne and Berlin. She has
\n\nwritten and directed numerous film productions, including Life After Microsoft (2001) and Other American Voices (2002, awarded the Filmpreis des Deutschen Anwaltvereins). Her first film documenting Gerhard RICHTER's work, The Cologne Cathedral Window (2007), was awarded the World Media Gold Award -Art Documentaries. Her feature-length cinema documentary Gerhard Richter Painting (2011), won the German Film Prize in Gold (highest honors in German cinema). In 2016, her feature-length documentary Peter Handke. In the Woods, Might be Late premiered at the Film Festival Locarno, Official Selection. 2015 saw a new collaboration with Gerhard RICHTER for the abstract films Richters Patterns and Moving Picture (946-3). BELZ' cinema documentary Inside the Uffizi (2021) and Thomas Schütte, I am Not Alone (2023) won much critical acclaim and had international festival success. Corinna BELZ lives in Cologne and Berlin.

Visual Artist & Original Idea|Gerhard RICHTER
\n\nThe German artist Gerhard RICHTER (1932 born in Dresden) developed his independent oeuvre of paintings from 1962, while still a student at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, initially on the basis of photographic models. He later expanded his painting to include a wide variety of abstract styles. In addition to paintings and objects, RICHTER's complex oeuvre also includes drawings, watercolors, overpainted photographs and editions. His works can be found in important museum collections and are exhibited worldwide. RICHTER is considered one of the most important and influential living artists. The creation of Gerhard RICHTER's Cologne Cathedral Window, unveiled in 2007, was accompanied by film-maker Corinna BELZ in a documentary. In 2011, BELZ' feature-length documentary Gerhard Richter Painting was released. 2015 saw a third collaboration for the abstract films Richters Patterns and Moving Picture (946-3).

《第七道門》是關於傑出當代音樂大師彼得.于特福許的紀錄片。導演茱蒂特.凱兒運用舊影像資料及舊照片搭配嶄新的畫面,帶領觀眾進入這位奮而不懈的作曲家充滿想像力的世界,並探究他「讓聽眾看見音樂」的追求背後令人費解的個性。片中不僅訪問了皮耶.布列茲與卡爾海因茲.史托克豪森,更包含了于特福許在排演其歌劇作品《三姊妹》時的珍貴鏡頭。

身兼作曲家與音樂策展人的陳銀淑生於1961年的韓國首爾,並自1985年起旅居德國。她曾獲頒許多古典音樂獎項,包含森寧音樂獎、荀貝格獎,以及格文美爾作曲獎。她的作品深受許多國際級指揮大師的喜愛,包括拉圖、吉伯特、杜達美、長野健等知名指揮都曾指揮其作。全球知名樂團如柏林愛樂、紐約愛樂、芝加哥交響樂團等,都曾邀請陳銀淑譜寫曲目並為其演奏。同時,她也是瑞士琉森音樂節、北德廣播易北愛樂樂團、BBC交響樂團所舉辦之沉浸式音樂節的駐團作曲家。

簡文彬1967年生,國立藝專(今國立臺灣藝術大學)鍵盤組畢業,維也納音樂暨表演藝術大學指揮碩士學位。
\n1996年起擔任德國萊茵歌劇院(Deutsche Oper am Rhein)駐院指揮長達22年;1998-2004年為日本太平洋音樂節(Pacific Music Festival)駐節指揮;2001-2007年為國家交響樂團(NSO)音樂總監,在其任內推動「定期音樂會系列」、國人作品委託創作及錄製、「歌劇系列」等創舉,並在2006年樂團20週年時推出華語地區首次自製之華格納《尼貝龍指環》四部曲;2014-2016擔任國立臺灣交響樂團藝術顧問,並於2014年9月獲頒第18屆國家文藝獎。

This documentary also includes interviews with Pierre Boulez and Kariheinz Stockhausen and shows precious footage of Peter EÖTVÖS rehearsing his opera "Three Sisters"

Composer and curator Unsuk CHIN was born in 1961 in Seoul, and she has lived in Germany since 1985. Chin's career has been celebrated with a series of classical music awards such as the Leonie Sonning Prize, the Sibelius Prize and the Grawemeyer Award. Hermusic has attracted the attention of international conductors such as Simon RATTLE, Alan GILBERT, Gustavo DUDAMEL, Kent NAGANO, and others. Regularly commissioned by leading performing organizations worldwide, Chin's music has been performed by orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw, among others. She has been Composer-in-Residence of the Lucerne Festival, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the BBC's Total Immersion Festival, and many more.

CHIEN Wen-pin, General and Artistic Director of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying), was born in 1967, graduated from the National Taiwan Academy of Arts and awarded a Master's degree at the National University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna. CHIEN joined the Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Düsseldorf / Duisburg, Germany) in 1996 and served as "Kapellmeister" for 22 years. 1998-2004 he was Resident Conductor of the Pacific Music Festival (Sapporo, Japan).
\n\n2001-2007 he was Music Director of National Symphony Orchestra (Taiwan Philharmonic); during his tenure the orchestra has achieved several milestones such as creating Subscription series, commissioning Taiwanese composers, introducing an opera series which coroneted with the first production of the complete "Der Ring des Nibelungen" by Richard WAGNER in Chinese speaking areas, upon orchestra's 20th anniversary in 2006. 2014-2016 CHIEN was Artistic Advisor of the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. In addition, CHIEN was winner of the "National Award for Arts" in 2014.

Opera excerpts, art songs, program music, and absolute music are four distinct genres that, in essence, do not intersect. When curating a concert repertoire, one can opt to emphasize a single genre or incorporate a combination of two. While it's fairly common for a repertoire to encompass three of these categories, including all four genres is a rarity. Ensemble TIMF Music of Love and Longing showcases a remarkable blend of these four music categories: SCHREKER Chamber Symphony is absolute music, The Poet's Love is a German art song, Trittico Botticelliano is program music, and the three opera arias originate from two Italian operas and one French opera.

Hailing from Poland, Marianna BEDNARSKA clinched the title of percussion winner at the 2019 Geneva Music Competition and was also honored with the Credit Suisse Young Artist Award that same year. With her remarkable musical interpretations and impeccable technique, she's rapidly emerging as one of Europe's most notable rising stars. Luzerner Zeitung extolled her ability to inspire audiences "with her virtuosic, emotional, and masterful playing across instruments. The closing concert of the 2024 Weiwuying International Music Festival will blend centuries, spotlighting timeless Beethoven and Wagner works, alongside a modern piece by maestro Unsuk CHIN. Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor CHIEN Wen-pin, will perform CHIN's 2006 Cello Concerto with renowned American cellist Zlatomir FUNG, champion of the Tchaikovsky International Music Competition. This concerto, renowned in contemporary music, offers captivating interplay between cello and orchestra, and was hailed by The Guardian as "one of the best 25 classical music works of the 21st century."

The film Richters Patterns, which consists of significant contemporary German artist Gerhard RICHTER's patterns, was created by composer Marcus SCHMICKLER and film director Corinna BELZ. BELZ used a detail of a photo that RICHTER gave her in 2015 to create a movie that was generated by a computer algorithm programmed for the project. SCHMICKLER wrote the music in parallel with the film's creation, and extended RICHTER's dividing method into the field of sound and time. Listeners experience these sounds as if they are looking at a painting. We will hear the visual rhythm in RICHTER's patterns with SCHMICKLER's interpretation in music!

\n\nMarcus SCHMICKLER (1968- ) is a composer specializing in contemporary and electronic music. He resides in Cologne and in Graz. SCHMICKLER's work deals with the convergence of computer music, ensemble composition, performance, and science. His compositions create unique auditory spaces. Exploring a range of techniques from Shepard tones to ring modulations, SCHMICKLER harnesses their compositional potential, delving into sonic exploration through data sonification and otoacoustic emissions.
\n\nAdditionally, he contributes texts on music theory to various publications, including MusikTexte, and his musical works have been featured in about 50 LPs and CDs. SCHMICKLER has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including the esteemed Rome Prize from the German Academy Villa
\n\nMassimo. He has taught at Bard College, CalArts, Robert Schumann Hochschule. His compositions have been performed by notable ensembles such as Neue Vocalsolisten, Ensemble Musikfabrik, Schlagquartett Köln, Ensemble Recherche, Kölner Kurrende, Staatskapelle Weimar, Ensemble Ruhr,

\n\nCorinna BELZ studied philosophy, history of art and media sciences in Cologne and Berlin. She has
\n\nwritten and directed numerous film productions, including Life After Microsoft (2001) and Other American Voices (2002, awarded the Filmpreis des Deutschen Anwaltvereins). Her first film documenting Gerhard RICHTER's work, The Cologne Cathedral Window (2007), was awarded the World Media Gold Award -Art Documentaries. Her feature-length cinema documentary Gerhard Richter Painting (2011), won the German Film Prize in Gold (highest honors in German cinema). In 2016, her feature-length documentary Peter Handke. In the Woods, Might be Late premiered at the Film Festival Locarno, Official Selection. 2015 saw a new collaboration with Gerhard RICHTER for the abstract films Richters Patterns and Moving Picture (946-3). BELZ' cinema documentary Inside the Uffizi (2021) and Thomas Schütte, I am Not Alone (2023) won much critical acclaim and had international festival success. Corinna BELZ lives in Cologne and Berlin.

Visual Artist & Original Idea|Gerhard RICHTER
\n\nThe German artist Gerhard RICHTER (1932 born in Dresden) developed his independent oeuvre of paintings from 1962, while still a student at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, initially on the basis of photographic models. He later expanded his painting to include a wide variety of abstract styles. In addition to paintings and objects, RICHTER's complex oeuvre also includes drawings, watercolors, overpainted photographs and editions. His works can be found in important museum collections and are exhibited worldwide. RICHTER is considered one of the most important and influential living artists. The creation of Gerhard RICHTER's Cologne Cathedral Window, unveiled in 2007, was accompanied by film-maker Corinna BELZ in a documentary. In 2011, BELZ' feature-length documentary Gerhard Richter Painting was released. 2015 saw a third collaboration for the abstract films Richters Patterns and Moving Picture (946-3).

《第七道門》是關於傑出當代音樂大師彼得.于特福許的紀錄片。導演茱蒂特.凱兒運用舊影像資料及舊照片搭配嶄新的畫面,帶領觀眾進入這位奮而不懈的作曲家充滿想像力的世界,並探究他「讓聽眾看見音樂」的追求背後令人費解的個性。片中不僅訪問了皮耶.布列茲與卡爾海因茲.史托克豪森,更包含了于特福許在排演其歌劇作品《三姊妹》時的珍貴鏡頭。

身兼作曲家與音樂策展人的陳銀淑生於1961年的韓國首爾,並自1985年起旅居德國。她曾獲頒許多古典音樂獎項,包含森寧音樂獎、荀貝格獎,以及格文美爾作曲獎。她的作品深受許多國際級指揮大師的喜愛,包括拉圖、吉伯特、杜達美、長野健等知名指揮都曾指揮其作。全球知名樂團如柏林愛樂、紐約愛樂、芝加哥交響樂團等,都曾邀請陳銀淑譜寫曲目並為其演奏。同時,她也是瑞士琉森音樂節、北德廣播易北愛樂樂團、BBC交響樂團所舉辦之沉浸式音樂節的駐團作曲家。

簡文彬1967年生,國立藝專(今國立臺灣藝術大學)鍵盤組畢業,維也納音樂暨表演藝術大學指揮碩士學位。
\n1996年起擔任德國萊茵歌劇院(Deutsche Oper am Rhein)駐院指揮長達22年;1998-2004年為日本太平洋音樂節(Pacific Music Festival)駐節指揮;2001-2007年為國家交響樂團(NSO)音樂總監,在其任內推動「定期音樂會系列」、國人作品委託創作及錄製、「歌劇系列」等創舉,並在2006年樂團20週年時推出華語地區首次自製之華格納《尼貝龍指環》四部曲;2014-2016擔任國立臺灣交響樂團藝術顧問,並於2014年9月獲頒第18屆國家文藝獎。

Composer and curator Unsuk CHIN was born in 1961 in Seoul, and she has lived in Germany since 1985. Chin's career has been celebrated with a series of classical music awards such as the Leonie Sonning Prize, the Sibelius Prize and the Grawemeyer Award. Hermusic has attracted the attention of international conductors such as Simon RATTLE, Alan GILBERT, Gustavo DUDAMEL, Kent NAGANO, and others. Regularly commissioned by leading performing organizations worldwide, Chin's music has been performed by orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw, among others. She has been Composer-in-Residence of the Lucerne Festival, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the BBC's Total Immersion Festival, and many more.

CHIEN Wen-pin, General and Artistic Director of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying), was born in 1967, graduated from the National Taiwan Academy of Arts and awarded a Master's degree at the National University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna. CHIEN joined the Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Düsseldorf / Duisburg, Germany) in 1996 and served as "Kapellmeister" for 22 years. 1998-2004 he was Resident Conductor of the Pacific Music Festival (Sapporo, Japan).
\n\n2001-2007 he was Music Director of National Symphony Orchestra (Taiwan Philharmonic); during his tenure the orchestra has achieved several milestones such as creating Subscription series, commissioning Taiwanese composers, introducing an opera series which coroneted with the first production of the complete "Der Ring des Nibelungen" by Richard WAGNER in Chinese speaking areas, upon orchestra's 20th anniversary in 2006. 2014-2016 CHIEN was Artistic Advisor of the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. In addition, CHIEN was winner of the "National Award for Arts" in 2014.

開幕音樂會《幻想說鼓》

2024衛武營國際音樂節開幕音樂會將由法國指揮大師羅菲指揮國立臺灣交響樂團,臺灣首演匈牙利作曲巨擘于特福許2012年創作《說鼓》,這一首喚醒人類節奏靈魂的作品,將聽到波蘭新生代音樂家貝德納絲卡擔任「說鼓人」,運用豐富的打擊樂對比,例如石頭敲擊與管鐘對話,融合說唱藝術,與樂團共同交織出節奏與聲響的聽覺盛宴。

統營國際音樂節室內樂團《歌詠音畫》

凝聚韓國首座音樂創意城市之力,青年指揮家尹漢潔(Hankyeol Yoon)將帶領統營國際音樂節室內樂團,搭配女高音黄秀美(Sumi Hwang),即將首度登臺展現聲樂風華,演出古今融合的精彩創作。演出內容包含三首知名歌劇詠嘆調、德語藝術歌曲《詩人之戀》、標題音樂《波堤切利三聯畫》臺灣首演,和屬於絕對音樂的室內交響曲,浪漫主題貫穿跨越一世紀的選曲,大大展現韓國音樂家們演繹愛與渴望的卓越才華。

瑪麗安娜.貝德納絲卡打擊獨奏會《鼓動》

2019年日內瓦音樂大賽擊樂得主,同年亦獲頒瑞士信貸青年藝術家大獎,來自波蘭的貝德納絲卡(Marianna BEDNARSKA)近年以出眾的音樂表現和洗鍊技巧,成為歐陸最受矚目的新星之一。她的演奏曾被《琉森報》(Luzerner Zeitung)評為能「啟發聽眾」,《紐約時報》更以「耀眼的錄音」來形容她灌錄的丹麥作曲家柯佩爾(A. Koppel)四首木琴協奏曲專輯。

這一場充滿能量,火花四射的雙琴交鋒,將由利茲國際鋼琴大賽得主-韓國鋼琴家金善昱,和榮獲伊莉莎白皇后國際大賽桂冠小提琴家魏靖儀連袂登場。兩位重要新生代演奏家將以完美默契及深厚技巧,為觀眾帶來橫跨近二世紀,震懾人心的小提琴與鋼琴合奏曲目。

閉幕音樂會《跨越兩世紀的琴聲》

2024衛武營國際音樂節閉幕音樂會的曲目將橫跨兩世紀,從貝多芬、華格納的大師巨作,到享譽國際的現代作曲家陳銀淑的作品。陳銀淑的大提琴協奏曲著於2006年,本場將由簡文彬指揮高市交,攜手柴可夫斯基國際音樂大賽首獎得主-美國大提琴家馮勇智,以精湛的技法詮釋這首被《衛報》評選為「二十一世紀最傑出的二十五首作品之一」,探索大提琴與管絃樂團的音響碰撞,從扣人心弦的獨奏,到與樂團萬馬奔騰的壯麗合奏,是現代樂迷不可錯過的巔峰之作。
